Testosterone in men is being destroyed. In the last 2 decades, levels have fallen over 50%.
This is causing a tremendous amount of disease, especially ones we classify as psychiatric such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
That’s right, brain health and mood greatly depend upon healthy T levels. Testosterone isn’t just a macho male hormone designed for sex and muscles.
Proper T levels influence:
- Fertility
- Cognitive function
- Cardiovascular health
- Metabolism
- Mood and muscle strength, as stated above
Testosterone is very protective, so it concentrates in organs that are very important such as the heart, lungs, brains, and gonads.
Because T levels are severely declining across the board in men, they are not as resilient to stress physically. Even moderate amounts of stress are now capable of destroying tissues such as muscle, heart, and brain when T levels are low – which is almost universal today!
You’re probably asking, “What is killing all the testosterone? Why are boys and young men struggling to produce it at normal levels today?”
And then thinking, “Well what do we do to get T levels back to optimized?”
More to come on the blog in the upcoming weeks, but for now, I do talk about it over on my IG account, so follow me there by clicking here.
